This collection started as a dream years ago. I thought, if I am going to showcase South Africa to visitors, why not create a selection of special places to stay? My goal was to offer an immersive experience where people can truly connect with the safari lifestyle.

From exclusive-use homes set deep in the bush to intimate boutique safari lodges, the idea was simple: to help guests “live local” and embrace the full safari experience.

South Africa is a country of incredible variety, divided into nine unique regions. Each one offers something different, from vibrant cities and stunning beaches to untamed coastlines, mountains, and the vast expanse of the bush. Even within the bush, each region has its own distinct landscape, vegetation, and wildlife.

As someone who has lived here and has a love for the bush, I have had the privilege of exploring every region. Over the years, I have visited game reserves and private lodges, taking the time to understand what each place offers. Through this, I have put together a collection of boutique safari lodges and exclusive-use bush homes that reflect the spirit of Qui Vado. My selection criteria included location (location, location), a touch of luxury, size & space, really good food, the experience & knowledge of the guides, and, of course, the people.
